Food, in the end, in our own tradition, is something holy. It’s not about nutrients and calories. It’s about sharing. It’s about honesty. It’s about identity.

Commitment to Community

We believe that our restaurants should have a positive impact on our larger surrounding community.  Through a variety of events and local promotions, we give back to those in need and also take a lead role in mobilizing the chef community in Chicago to support important causes.

Projects

From a global United Airlines charitable campaign to a local Chicago Backyard BBQ Series, we are constantly looking for ways to use our passion and skills to help those in need.

Chef Bill Kim had a very close relationship with Charlie Trotter and the work that he did with Chicago Public Schools, which made Chef Kim one of the first chef’s in the US to become a Chef Ambassador for The Trotter Project. Today, Chef Kim participates in at least one Trotter Project event a month. Other organizations that we are proud to support include: Inspiration Kitchens, Common and Purple Asparagus, and Inspiration Kitchens.
